Founded in New York City, with research and design in nearby New Rochelle, NY, Situcraft emerged out of founder Craig Copeland’s drive to infuse his hands-on marble and travertine carving experience into the design of well-crafted stone furniture. Today, Situcraft projects expand beyond furniture, and also feature designs in wood and ceramics.

Situcraft believes that materials like stone, clay-based ceramics, and wood help ground art, design and architecture to the natural and real world.  This is an especially important counterpoint to today’s increasingly virtual if not plastic-based human environment.  These materials are more directly available from the earth, with unequalled durability, offering beautifully unique forms and colors – the tangible essence of our planet, available to our touch.

Combining the enduring qualities of these materials with the latest fabrication technologies, Situcraft creates essential and timeless designs for home, work, and larger communities in broad ranges of sizes and luxury, that is naturally beautiful, strong and light.
